His Life

Dr. Raymond P. Phillips, Sr. was born to Melvin and Willa Mae Phillips on March 14, 1933 in Denver, Co. He was raised by his great-grandmother, Mrs. Rebecca Roberta Minerva Featherstone.

He joined the United States Army in 1951.
1952 was a wonderful year for Raymond Phillips for two blessed reasons. He preached his first gospel sermon in El Paso, Texas at Manzana Street Church of Christ and he met Helen J. McGowan of Ennis, Texas. On the first day he met Helen he asked her to marry him. They fell in love and were married on October 19, 1952.

 1953 – Invented a miniature indoor television antenna

1956 – Invented the  “Cordless Telephone”  Southwestern Christian College in Terrell, Texas

1959 Patent was granted 1959 in Washington, D.C. at “The United States Patent Office,” for the Cordless Telephone

1964 – Invented Carburetor which allows the automobile to achieve 50 miles per gallon

1966 – Invented High-Pressure Car Wash Device

1987 – Patent was granted for a Device to Convert Conventional Radio waves into Electrical Energy

1993 – Canadian Patent was granted for Device to Convert Conventional Radio Waves into Electrical Energy

His Legacy

Dr. Raymond Phillips, Sr. family has set up a go fund me to keep his legacy alive. They will benefit from this fundraiser in order to pursue ongoing projects:  Documentary, marketing of upcoming ventures, as well as launching his upcoming Book Release titled:  "I've Got Millions Talking."
Although, Dr. Phillips passed away in November 2010, it is the hope of his family that one day, Dr. Phillips will receive recognition and most importantly compensation for his hard work and his patented inventions.
